Sterling Kershaw & Co is a family beekeeping business in Gundaroo, NSW. They manage over 3,500 production beehives and specialised queen breeding hives.
This is a full-time position on a nine-month fixed-term contract. You will work Monday to Friday, with flexibility needed for early starts, seasonal demands and occasional weekend work during busy periods, including honey harvesting.
Your duties will include:
- Hive management and queen rearing
- Queen replacement
- Harvesting and extracting honey
- Maintaining beekeeping equipment
- General maintenance of commercial beekeeping operations
Practical, hands-on training and guidance will be provided. You should be reliable, take initiative, work well in a team and enjoy varied work.
Pay and conditions: $25.74 per hour, $978.10 per week gross. 38 hours per week. Superannuation, annual leave, personal and carer’s leave, and other entitlements in accordance with the Fair Work Pastoral Award 2020. Overtime and penalty rates apply.
Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required.
