FAQ

For Job Seekers

Is it free to apply for jobs on Farm Work Australia?

Yes. Browsing and applying for jobs is completely free. You never pay anything to use the site as a job seeker.

Do I need to create an account to apply?

You can register for a free account to apply for jobs and save your details. Registration is quick and there are no fees involved.

What types of farm work can I find here?

We list all types of agricultural work across Australia, including fruit picking, packing, pruning, dairy, livestock, viticulture (grape and wine work), cropping, tractor driving, farm hand roles, station work, and more.

Can I use farm work to count towards my 88 days for a second-year visa?

Many of the jobs listed on Farm Work Australia are in regional areas and involve work that qualifies as “specified work” for the Working Holiday Visa (subclass 417) second and third year extensions. Check the specific job listing and the Australian Government’s immigration website to confirm eligibility. We also have a detailed guide on 88 days farm work requirements.

How do I know if a job listing is legitimate?

All job listings on our site are posted by the employers themselves. We review listings before they go live. Be cautious of any employer (on any platform) who asks you to pay upfront fees for a job placement, accommodation bonds before you arrive, or “registration fees.” Legitimate employers don’t charge workers to get hired.

I applied for a job but haven’t heard back. What should I do?

Employers manage their own applications. Response times vary depending on their needs and the volume of applicants. If you haven’t heard back after a week, it’s fine to follow up directly with the employer. In the meantime, keep applying for other roles.

Do you help with accommodation or transport?

Some job listings include accommodation details. We don’t arrange accommodation or transport directly, but many farming regions have working hostels, caravan parks, and shared housing options. Check the job listing for details, or ask the employer when you apply.
