Koala Farms is a family-owned horticultural business with properties in the Lockyer Valley and Darling Downs in Queensland, and Bathurst in New South Wales. They supply fresh produce to chain stores and wholesale markets across the east coast.

The business is growing and looking for farm hands to join their production, harvesting, packing or planting teams. If you show the right qualities and skills, there are opportunities to progress to Team Leader, Forklift Driver or other roles.

What you will do:

• Harvest, pack and plant produce
• Work as part of a production team
• Operate farm machinery and tractors (if experienced)
• Operate a forklift (if you have a ticket)

What we are looking for:

• Strong work ethic and integrity
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment
• Own transport
• Horticultural experience is helpful but not required
• Tractor and farm machinery experience is helpful but not required
• Forklift ticket is helpful but not required

Hours are 30 hours or more per week, usually 5 days a week. Some weekend work may be needed due to weather. Work is available immediately through to the end of the season, with ongoing employment possible depending on performance.

Pay is $34.00 to $36.00 per hour depending on experience. You will be covered by the Koala Farms Enterprise Agreement 2023.
