Robinson Consulting Pty Ltd plans, designs and builds farm earthworks, drainage, water storage and irrigation developments across the Western Downs and surrounding districts.

What you will do

• Survey and map whole farms with agricultural engineers and agronomists to understand land conditions, yield data, soil types and water movement.
• Use LiDAR survey data and precision technology to assess existing conditions.
• Design and plan farm developments including dams, waterways, contours, feedlots, irrigation paddocks and watering systems using Terra Design software.
• Set up and maintain GPS base stations and precision agriculture equipment, including auto-steer on tractors and auto height control on laser buckets.
• Set out jobs at the start, check progress as work happens, and inspect finished work against design.
• Install and monitor water flow equipment on irrigation developments.
• Collect survey and machine data, and produce reports and maps.
• Advise farmers on nutrient improvement and adjusting cropping layouts for their new paddocks.
