DG Agri Pty Ltd, a mixed farming operation on South Australia’s Limestone Coast, is looking for an experienced Agricultural Consultant. The farm grows fruit, broadacre crops including corn and barley, and silage, fodder and pasture.

In this role you will:

• Guide farm staff on best practice in production, handling, processing and distribution of fruit, grain and fodder.
• Research seasonal conditions and market movements to inform planting, harvest and sales decisions.
• Evaluate and improve the efficiency of cropping, orchard, silage and pasture operations.
• Make recommendations on land use, paddock rotation and crop selection.
• Collect and analyse samples of produce, soil and feed to understand yield and quality factors.
• Advise on pest, weed and disease control, soil improvement and animal husbandry.
• Drive adoption of sustainable farming practices.
• Plan and deliver training sessions for farm workers and seasonal staff.
• Work with government agencies and industry organisations on compliance matters.

You will need at least 1 year of experience in a similar role and a bachelor’s degree or higher qualification. You should be a strong communicator with good analytical skills, well organised and self-driven.

This is a permanent, full-time position of 38 hours per week. Salary is $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation per annum.
