Border Reivers Farming is a family-owned mixed grain and beef cattle farm near Yarawindah in Western Australia. They are looking for a permanent general farm worker.
What you will do:
- Prepare paddocks and soil for seeding
- Assist with seeding and harvesting operations
- Fertilise crops and apply crop inputs
- Inspect paddocks and crops, report on condition and any issues
- Spray crops to manage weeds, insects and disease (if trained and authorised)
- Operate tractors and farm machinery
- Store grain and load harvested produce onto trucks
- Maintain and clean farm machinery and equipment
- Maintain farm infrastructure including sheds, fences and storage areas
- Follow all health, safety, biosecurity and environmental procedures
What we need:
- Minimum 1 year experience in general farm work or agriculture
- Comfortable working outdoors and doing physically demanding work
- Able to safely operate tractors and farm machinery, or willing to train
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Practical and mechanically minded
- Willing to work extra hours during busy seasons like seeding and harvest
- Safety-conscious around heavy machinery and chemicals
- Valid driver’s licence
The role is permanent. Pay is $75,000 to $80,000 per year, and accommodation is included.
