About fencing jobs

Farm and rural fencing jobs across Australia are hard, physical outdoor work that pays decently and teaches a real skill. Stations and farms always need fences built and repaired.

The work

You dig and set posts, run and strain wire, and repair damaged sections, often across big paddocks. Some jobs use machinery like post drivers. It builds strength and teaches you tools you can use anywhere.

Where the work is

Fencing work is everywhere there is livestock, so inland New South Wales, Queensland and the station country of the north and west have plenty. Many roles come with accommodation on remote properties.

Most regional farm work counts toward your 88 days. Check the rules in our 88 days guide.
