Permanent full-time role supervising banana plantation operations in East Palmerston, QLD 4860.

About the role:

• Supervise farm operations including de-budding, de-leafing, de-suckering, harvesting and packing
• Plan and consult with farm managers on business objectives
• Coordinate farm hands and assign tasks
• Monitor work hours, tasks and resolve problems
• Train farm hands on assigned duties
• Organise staff and produce transportation
• Manage banana irrigation, infrastructure and watering schedules
• Inspect farming equipment and arrange maintenance and repairs
• Ensure farm hands have appropriate tools and personal protective equipment
• Enforce compliance with government regulations and health and safety standards

Requirements:

• Certificate IV or higher qualification
• At least 1 year relevant work experience

Salary: $70,000 to $80,000 per annum
