Primary Harvest is a family-owned mushroom farm in the Hawkesbury, operating for more than 30 years. They grow premium quality mushrooms shipped across Australia.
The work
You will harvest mushrooms from various levels of growing beds to fill daily orders. The farm operates 364 days a year in fully air-conditioned growing rooms, so there are no picking seasons. You will work on a 7-day rotating roster that includes weekends.
What you need
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work in a team
- Attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- A driver’s licence and car are preferred
- No experience necessary – you will receive 3 months of detailed training from experienced mushroom picking trainers
The role
Approximately 30 harvesting positions are available. Work starts December 2026. Pay is Horticultural Award 2020 Casual Level 1.
