Romeos Best Farms is one of Australia’s largest privately owned table grape producers. They are based in Mareeba QLD and are looking for a full time qualified Horticulture Grower.

What you will do:

• Monitor growing conditions of vines to check humidity, moisture, temperature and other cultivation procedures
• Manage fertigation and moisture
• Oversee all vine plantings throughout the production cycle
• Plan irrigation, fertilisation, weed control, and pest and disease control schedules
• Determine optimal plant nutrition, health and overall quality
• Ensure production schedules are met for each step in a timely way
• Monitor crop health and fruit maturity to forecast volume and quality
• Work alongside external agronomists, agriculture technologists and consultants

What you need:

• AQF Certificate III or IV in horticulture, viticulture or a related field
• Extensive grower experience with knowledge in crop health, production procedure and pest control
• Computing and administration skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Knowledge and experience of agricultural production principles
• Driver’s licence

Pay: $79,423 per annum plus superannuation.
