About this job
Commercial flower farm in Newcastle region is hiring 10 labourers for a 9-month assignment starting December 2026.
The work
- Growing, harvesting, handling and preparing flowers for market
- Planting and maintaining flower crops
- Weeding and maintaining growing areas
- Harvesting and picking flowers
- Cutting, bunching and packing flowers
- Sorting and grading flowers for quality
- General farm labouring and cleaning
What you need
- Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
- Good physical fitness – the work is physically active and involves standing for long periods
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather
- Attention to detail when harvesting and packing
- Willingness to work weekends and additional hours when needed
- Commitment to completing the full 9-month assignment
- Australian work rights for the duration
Previous horticultural or farm experience is helpful but not essential. Training and induction will be provided. A current driver’s licence and reliable transport are desirable.
