About this job

CTR Banana Group is hiring 80 workers for banana farm work in Mareeba, Far North Queensland.

The work includes:

  • Cutting, bagging and stringing bananas
  • Weed spraying and misting
  • Dehanding and sorting
  • Packing

Work is usually 6.30am to 4.30pm, Monday to Thursday. You may also be asked to work weekends and public holidays.

Employment options:

  • Casual: minimum 30 hours per week
  • Permanent: minimum 38 hours per week

Both are under the Horticultural award. Work is expected to start in November 2026 and last 9 months to 4 years.

No experience needed. Training will be provided. You will work outdoors or under cover in a team, using tools like pruning and picking equipment. The work is physical and you may work in different weather conditions.
