About this job

Riverlane Dairy is looking for a dairy cattle farm operator to work full-time, 38 hours a week at their farm in Numbaa.

Your work will include:

  • Feeding cows and providing water
  • Harvesting milk from the cows
  • Overseeing cow breeding
  • Caring for cow health, including giving medications and vaccinations
  • Keeping vaccination records and testing for diseases
  • Reading and recording information like milk vat temperatures and cow numbers
  • Reporting equipment faults
  • Maintaining farm facilities like sheds, fences and fixtures
  • Maintaining and repairing equipment such as tractors and feeders
  • Operating tractors and feeders
  • Ensuring food safety requirements are met
  • Operating standard measuring equipment

You should have:

  • At least AQF Certificate II or III (or equivalent), OR
  • At least one year of recent and relevant work experience (two years preferred)

What you get:

  • $98,800 per year plus superannuation
  • 4 weeks annual leave
  • 10 days sick leave
