About this job
B & JL POPOWSKI is looking for one full-time dairy farm hand to join their team in Smithton. You will milk 900 cows twice a day in a 45-bail rotary shed.
The role:
- Milking at 4am and 2pm
- Milking cows efficiently and hygienically
- Identifying and reporting animal health issues
- Cleaning and maintaining milking equipment and the dairy shed
- Helping with herd movements and general farm tasks as needed
What we need:
- Previous dairy milking experience is preferred but not essential. Training can be provided for the right person.
- Strong work ethic and good physical fitness
- Comfortable working early mornings, weekends, and in all weather
- Reliable and punctual
Pay and hours: $25.74 per hour, 38 hours per week, at pastoral award Level 1. Work starts October 2026.
