Outback Honey is an Australian owned and operated apiary in Dubbo, New South Wales. They produce Australian certified organic honey.

They are hiring an experienced apiarist for a permanent full-time position. You must have at least three years of skilled experience as an apiarist or beekeeper.

Your duties will include:

  • Breeding and raising queen bees
  • Monitoring and maintaining the health and condition of the bees
  • Checking and re-queening bee hives regularly
  • Providing and maintaining appropriate nutrition
  • Producing, harvesting and extracting honey, honeycomb, royal jelly, pollen, beeswax and propolis
  • Planning and organising brood nest management
  • Inspecting bee sites for good breeding condition and honey production
  • Coordinating farmers for pollination services
  • Destroying superfluous queen bee cells to prevent swarming

You must be of good character, free from allergies, and willing to comply with industry health and safety and quality assurance standards.
