Agricultural mobile plant operator, Hyden WA

Rockview Farm is looking for full-time agricultural mobile plant operators to join their team in Hyden, Western Australia. This is a permanent position.

You will operate large-scale machinery and broadacre farming equipment across all phases of the cropping cycle. The farm grows lupin, wheat, canola, and barley.

Your duties will include:

• Operating tractors, self-propelled sprayers, and combine harvesters
• Preparing and positioning plant for each part of the cropping cycle
• Farm maintenance, including clearing laneways and managing vegetation
• Servicing and minor repairs to machinery and grain storage
• Entering data into record keeping systems
• Reporting on stock levels of fuel, oil, fertiliser, and chemicals
• Training and supervising seasonal and casual staff

You will need:

• At least 1 year of experience in agricultural plant operation
• Knowledge of agricultural machinery and farming equipment
• Experience with controlled traffic farming and Greenstar technology
• Good computer skills and ability to use farming programs
• Valid driver’s licence; HC/MC licence preferred
• Ability to work independently and in a small team
• English language proficiency
• Willingness to work in a regional location

The salary is $79,500 to $90,000 per year. You must be available to work in person at Hyden WA.
