GFH ENTERPRISES is hiring 150 harvest workers for melon, pumpkin and capsicum picking in Bundaberg. This is physically demanding outdoor work suitable for fit, healthy people.
The work includes:
- Harvesting and packing melons, pumpkins and capsicums
- Planting and weeding
- Rolling and removing plastic mulch
- General farm labour as needed
Working conditions: Approximately 30 hours per week. You will bend and lift repeatedly, stand for long periods, and work indoors and outdoors in temperatures from about 10°C to 40°C.
Pay: $32.18 per hour for the first 3 months, then $33.05 per hour. Rates follow the Australian Horticulture Award.
Start date: Around 2 November 2026.
Requirements: No experience or qualifications needed. You must be physically fit and able to do repetitive bending, lifting and carrying all day in hot outdoor conditions.
Transport and accommodation: The company can arrange both if needed (charges apply). The farm is about 30-40 minutes from Griffith town. You can also use your own transport.
