Senior piggery stockperson, Yornaning WA

Yornaning Farms is looking for an experienced Senior Piggery Stockperson to manage their pig operation in Yornaning, Western Australia.

What you will do:

• Oversee daily piggery activities and supervise staff
• Care for pigs, including feeding, watering and health checks
• Manage breeding and selection of stock
• Collect and record data for stock control and trials
• Handle artificial insemination and animal mating
• Assist with birthing and post-mortem examinations
• Ensure compliance with animal welfare, biosecurity and safety requirements
• Mentor less experienced stockpersons

What you need:

• AQF Certificate III in Agriculture (Pig Production) or equivalent, plus 3 years recent piggery experience, OR 5 years recent piggery experience in a medium to large-scale operation
• Proven ability to supervise staff
• Strong knowledge of livestock health, breeding and nutrition
• Ability to keep accurate records and follow biosecurity procedures
• Commitment to animal welfare and farm safety
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
