Senior broadacre crop and livestock farm worker, Wandering WA

BC Hardie & Co is a family-run mixed farm near Wandering, about 130 km south-east of Perth. They grow broadacre crops and raise sheep.

They are looking for an experienced Senior Broadacre Crop and Livestock Farm Worker. You will work mostly independently, managing both cropping and sheep operations. You will also train and supervise casual farm staff.

Your main tasks will be:

• Broadacre cropping and livestock work with minimal supervision
• Sheep handling, feeding, drenching, crutching and flock management
• Operating tractors, boom sprays, headers, air seeders, trucks and loaders
• Routine machinery maintenance, cleaning and basic repairs
• Fencing, rock picking and general farm maintenance
• Training casual farm workers

You will need:

• Proven experience in broadacre cropping and livestock farming
• Practical sheep handling and livestock management skills
• Experience operating agricultural machinery
• Current driver’s licence (MC licence preferred)
• Ability to work independently and train others
• Strong work ethic and reliability

• Salary AUD $75,000 – $85,000 per annum
