Machonochie Farms is a dairy producer in Riverslea, VIC. They are looking for a Dairy Cattle Farm Operator to join their team on a permanent basis.

What you will do:

• Run, monitor and maintain milking systems and dairy equipment
• Identify and report equipment faults, and perform basic maintenance
• Watch herd health and behavior to ensure good animal care
• Safely operate farm machinery and perform daily pre-start checks
• Record milk vat temperatures, cow numbers, milk yields and other farm data
• Use farm management software to keep records on feed, milk yields and herd information
• Support artificial insemination breeding programs and help with pasture management
• Work with the team while following workplace health and safety guidelines

What we are looking for:

• Previous hands-on dairy experience or relevant agricultural qualifications
• Able to work independently and as part of a team
• Can follow procedures, solve routine problems and use your own initiative
• Good attention to detail and time management
• Physical fitness and stamina for active daily dairy work
