Agricultural Technician, Balingup WA

A large fruit packing and growing business in regional Western Australia is looking for an Agricultural Technician. This is a permanent full-time role, minimum 38 hours per week.

What you will do:

• Test soil and plan fertilization and irrigation strategies
• Monitor plant health and manage pests and diseases
• Help plan and run planting, pruning, thinning and harvesting
• Manage irrigation systems and water conservation
• Keep records of crops, soil and pest control
• Operate and maintain farm machinery like sprayers
• Follow industry regulations
• Train and support farm workers
• Help test new farming techniques

What you need:

• Diploma or higher in Agricultural Science, Horticulture or related field
• At least 1 year experience in agricultural or horticultural management
• Knowledge of soil science, pest and disease management, irrigation systems
• Understanding of agricultural industry regulations
• Problem-solving skills and ability to train staff

Salary is $79,500 to $95,000 per annum, in accordance with Australian workplace laws.
