About this job

Two positions for chaser bin drivers on a family farm near Merredin, Western Australia.

The work:

  • Operate a tractor and tow a chaser bin during grain harvest
  • Daily servicing of equipment
  • Help move harvest equipment around the farm
  • Other farm jobs as needed
  • Machinery cleaning after harvest

When: Mid-October to late December or early January 2027 (weather dependent). Three months of work counts towards visa extension. Possibly longer for the right people.

Hours: Usually six days a week with lots of hours.

What we provide:

  • Free accommodation on farm in a shared house. You have your own bedroom with either a Queen size or two single beds
  • Free cooked evening meal when working
  • Good hourly rate

What we need:

  • Previous experience with chaser bins. You must provide reference contact details
  • Valid driver’s license and preferably your own transport
  • Excellent English language skills. A lot of communication is over two-way radio
  • Full commitment for the entire harvest. Do not apply if you only want one or two months of work
  • Other trades experience such as mechanical work, welding or fabrication is a plus
