Kalfresh is a fast-growing Queensland horticultural business in the Scenic Rim, farming and marketing premium fresh produce across Australia and export markets. They’re after a Junior Agronomist / Agronomist Assistant to join the agronomy team. Casual.

Good spot for someone early in their ag career who wants exposure to large-scale commercial farming, crop monitoring and real operational decisions.

Reporting to the Agronomist, you’ll support crop production through field work, data collection and reporting.

What you’ll be doing:

– Monitoring crops for health, pests, disease and growth
– Assessing crop quality, maturity and yield before harvest
– Collecting and maintaining crop, paddock and sampling data
– Entering records in Excel, FreshTrack and Power BI
– Supporting harvest planning with timely reporting
– Helping with field trials and crop evaluations
– Checking seed stock and running germination tests
– Working across multiple farms in South East Queensland

What they’re after:

– Organised, good with time management
– Decent verbal and written communication
– Confident with Microsoft Office, especially Excel
– Works well solo and in a team, with good attention to detail
– Current driver’s licence

A qualification in agriculture, agronomy or plant science is a bonus, along with farming experience, but neither is essential.
