Whyalla Beef, part of NH Foods Group, is looking for an experienced beef cattle farmer to join their team at Smithlea, Texas, QLD.

Your work will include:

• Breeding and raising cattle
• Monitoring and maintaining the health of livestock
• Managing pastures and feeding
• Moving livestock to optimise feeding
• Catching, drenching and milking livestock
• Maintaining pens, sheds and equipment
• Controlling pests and weeds
• Growing fodder
• Helping with the sale, purchase and transport of livestock
• Keeping records of farming activities
• Training and supervising staff and contractors

What you need:

• Minimum 3 years hands-on experience
• Cert III in a relevant field
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Customer focused with a can-do attitude
