A grain storage site in Dimboola is looking for a hands-on Leading Hand to help run safe, efficient operations.

You’ll lead day-to-day grain receival, storage and outturn activities. You’ll train and supervise staff and contractors in safe work practices and equipment operation. You’ll help maintain grain quality, inventory controls and site safety standards. You’ll support rostering, operational planning and equipment maintenance. When the Site Supervisor is away, you’ll take responsibility for site operations.

You need experience supervising people and delivering practical, on-the-job training. You need a hands-on approach, sound safety judgement and the ability to adapt as site priorities change. You must have a current driver’s licence, Confined Space certificate and Level 2 First Aid certificate.

You need to be available to work outdoors and flexible hours, including nights or weekends when required, and to assist at other sites. Experience in grain handling, bulk materials or operating equipment such as front end loaders and conveyors would be an advantage.
