The Lucas Group is recruiting a farm mechanic for a mango farm in Katherine, NT. This is a permanent position.

What you’ll do:

• Maintain and service vehicles, orchard and harvest equipment (petrol and diesel)
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair machinery to minimise downtime
• Service and repair light vehicles, including brakes, steering, suspension and transmissions
• Calibrate precision systems and machinery settings for harvest
• Respond to repairs and breakdowns across the farm
• Help improve maintenance systems and workshop standards

What we’re looking for:

• Certificate III in Diesel Mechanic or Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
• 3+ years experience with tractors, harvesters or agricultural machinery
• Knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics and hydraulics
• Valid C class driver’s licence
• Strong physical fitness for outdoor work
• Solutions-focused and detail-oriented
• Confident with hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment
• Strong safety mindset
• Based in or willing to relocate to Katherine, NT
