Production Horticulture Supervisor for a leading horticultural business on the Mornington Peninsula, VIC. Permanent full-time role with immediate start.
About the role: You will lead harvest and crop management operations for advanced horticultural facilities. This is a supervisory position requiring experience in crop production, harvest management, and team leadership.
Key duties include:
- Manage harvest scheduling and quality control, ensuring crops meet specifications
- Supervise harvest operations and post-harvest handling, cooling and storage
- Identify and manage crop protection issues, pests and diseases
- Prepare and apply chemical treatments safely and in compliance with regulations
- Oversee crop establishment, thinning, pruning and training operations
- Maintain and coordinate specialized harvest equipment
- Liaise with Farm Operations Manager, Shed Production Manager and Maintenance Supervisor
- Coordinate worksite activities across multiple teams
Requirements: AQF Certificate III or IV in Horticulture or Agriculture, or equivalent. Proven experience in production horticulture or harvest supervision in a commercial environment. Experience in crop protection, harvest management and agricultural equipment operation.
