A prominent agricultural and FMCG business on the Mornington Peninsula is seeking an experienced Agricultural and Horticultural Mobile Plant Operator for immediate start. This is a permanent full-time role.

About the work

You will operate mobile plant equipment across diverse agricultural production, land development and infrastructure projects. Your responsibilities include:

• Safely transport and position mobile plant between work sites
• Operate plant equipment in varied terrain and confined spaces with precision
• Select and configure attachments for specific tasks, including earthmoving and agricultural tools
• Monitor plant operation and make real-time adjustments to optimise performance
• Conduct equipment condition assessments and perform minor repairs
• Report mechanical faults to maintenance teams
• Implement preventive maintenance routines and daily equipment checks
• Coordinate with site supervisors and team members
• Maintain clear communication with ground crew and other operators
• Complete accurate operational records and documentation
• Implement and adhere to all workplace health and safety protocols

What you need

• Relevant plant operation certifications or AQF Certificate II in Mobile Plant Operations or equivalent
• Minimum 1 year full-time experience operating mobile plant in agricultural, construction or industrial settings
• Experience with various plant attachments and control systems, including hydraulic and electrical interfaces
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform minor repairs
• Excellent spatial awareness and equipment handling skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
• High level of safety consciousness
