Dairy farm milking operator, Warragoon NSW

A cattle dairy operation in Warragoon, NSW is hiring 5 dairy farm hands. Work starts from September 2026.

You will move cows to and from the dairy, operate milking equipment, and check animal health. The work includes standing for long periods during morning and afternoon milking shifts. You need to be physically fit and comfortable working with livestock.

Key duties:

• Collect cows from paddocks and move them to the dairy
• Prepare cows for milking and attach cups correctly
• Monitor milking systems and keep the dairy clean and hygienic
• Watch for signs of illness or injury in cows
• Report any problems to the farm manager
• Wear all required safety equipment

What you need:

• Comfortable working with livestock
• Physically fit for labour-intensive work
• Good communication skills
• No asthma or dust allergies
• Willing to live locally or relocate to Warragoon
• Able to work unsupervised and show initiative

Pay is $25.74 per hour for an estimated 38 hours per week, under the Pastoral Award Level 1. Work is offered for up to 4 years under the Pacific Labour Scheme (PALM), with potential for job progression.
