Harris River Estate is a vineyard, winery and beverage producer at 442 Harris River Road, Collie. They are hiring a Vineyard Supervisor for a permanent full-time role.

This is a hands-on supervisory position. You will manage the day-to-day vineyard operations, supervise staff and seasonal workers, and be involved in grape harvesting, winery cellar work, filtration and distilling.

Main duties include:

• Supervising and coordinating vineyard employees and seasonal workers
• Managing pruning, vine training, canopy management and crop management
• Overseeing planting, cultivation and harvesting of wine grapes
• Monitoring vine health, pests, weeds and disease
• Operating tractors, mowers, slashers, sprayers and vineyard machinery
• Maintaining vineyard infrastructure, trellising, fencing and irrigation systems
• Coordinating grape harvesting and operating mechanical harvesters
• Participating in winery cellar operations during vintage
• Operating grape crushers, destemmers, presses and filtration equipment
• Assisting with distilling operations
• Ensuring workplace health and safety procedures are followed

You will need strong practical vineyard experience, the ability to supervise and coordinate employees, and experience operating agricultural and winery processing equipment. During vintage, you may need to work additional or irregular hours.
