Howe Farming Enterprises is hiring farm labourers for their farms near Mareeba in Far North Queensland. They grow bananas and other crops.

Two types of positions:

• 100 short-term seasonal roles: 9 months work, casual award rates, average 30+ hours per week
• 30 long-term seasonal roles: 2-year contract, permanent award rates, 38 hours per week minimum

You will work in fields and packshed positions, mostly outdoors in paddocks. Full on-the-job training is provided, with chances to learn new skills.

This work counts toward your 2nd and 3rd year visa requirements.

What they need: Work-fit, self-motivated team players who can work in hot, humid weather. The farm has high health and safety standards and conducts regular drug and alcohol testing.

Start date: 1 August.
