Woorarra Dairy is hiring for several permanent full-time positions on their dairy farm.

Positions available:

• Dairy Farmers
• Animal Husbandry Technicians
• Senior Dairy Farm Operators
• Dairy Cattle Farm Operators

What you will do:

Dairy Farmers manage cattle, heifers, dry cows and calves. You will supervise animal husbandry and feed management, manage plant equipment and infrastructure, achieve budgeted targets, manage milk harvesting and quality, and ensure compliance with workplace and safety laws.

Animal Husbandry Technicians assist with breeding and raising livestock. You will help with nutrient management, arrange vaccines and supplements, organize mating programs, keep treatment records, and assist with artificial insemination.

Senior Dairy Farm Operators plan milk production processes, coordinate reproductive programs including artificial insemination, implement calving procedures, manage pastures and crops, and supervise animal health programs.

Dairy Cattle Farm Operators read and record milk vat temperatures and cow numbers, operate milking plant and equipment, use measuring equipment, and operate computerized systems.

What you need:

Dairy Farmers need a Bachelor’s Degree or 3 years relevant experience. Animal Husbandry Technicians need a Diploma or 3 years experience. Senior Operators need AQF Certificate III and 2-3 years experience. Dairy Cattle Farm Operators need AQF Certificate II or III or 1 year experience. All applicants must be hardworking, resourceful, trustworthy and loyal, with passion for dairy farming and ability to work as part of a team.

Pay is $70,000 to $90,000 plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
