Blue Eagle (Rural) Pty Ltd operates large-scale broiler chicken farms in Queensland, including locations in Gleneagle and Silverdale.

We are looking for a Farm Manager with recent and extensive poultry experience. You will work in the sheds with the livestock and lead a team.

Your duties will include:

• Ensuring excellent welfare of stock
• Organising and conducting farming operations, including maintaining sheds, water supply systems and equipment
• Preparing sheds for batches of chickens
• Daily operations, feed ordering and movement of livestock
• Maintaining cleanliness, maintenance and stock control
• Identifying and controlling environmental toxins, weeds, pests and diseases
• Daily and weekly reporting
• Supervising existing staff and training new staff
• Managing business capital, monitoring market activity and planning production to meet contract requirements

You will need poultry livestock skills, mechanical skills and good people skills. You must be able to manage your own time and your team’s time, and achieve results with pride in your work.
