Dela Cruz Dairies is hiring for several dairy farm roles in regional Tasmania. Positions available include Dairy Farmers, Animal Husbandry Technicians, Senior Dairy Cattle Farm Operators, and Dairy Cattle Farm Operators.

What you need:

• Dairy Farmers: Bachelor’s degree or 3 years relevant experience
• Animal Husbandry Technicians: Diploma or 3 years relevant experience
• Senior Dairy Farm Operators: AQF Certificate III or 1 year full-time recent experience
• Dairy Cattle Farm Operators: AQF Certificate II or III, or 1 year full-time recent experience

All roles need someone patient, hardworking, trustworthy and loyal. You should have passion for dairy farming, knowledge of farming techniques, and be able to work well in a team.

What you will do:

Dairy Farmers manage cattle, heifers and calves, supervise feed management, handle milking and milk quality, manage equipment and staff rosters, and ensure compliance with safety laws.

Animal Husbandry Technicians assist with breeding and raising livestock, manage nutrition, arrange vaccines and supplements, organize mating programs, and keep treatment records.

Senior Dairy Farm Operators plan milk production, manage milking routines, coordinate breeding programs including artificial insemination, implement calving procedures, manage pastures and livestock feeding, and supervise animal health.

Dairy Cattle Farm Operators read and record milk vat temperatures and cow numbers, operate milking equipment, use measuring equipment and computerized systems, and assist with machine repair and artificial insemination.

Pay is $71,481 to $95,000 plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
