Machonochie Farm in regional Victoria is hiring for several dairy farm roles: Dairy Farmers, Animal Husbandry Technicians, Senior Dairy Cattle Farm Operators, and Dairy Cattle Farm Operators.
What you need:
- Dairy Farmers: Bachelor’s degree or 3 years relevant experience
- Animal Husbandry Technicians: Diploma or 3 years relevant experience
- Senior Dairy Farm Operators: AQF Certificate III or 1 year full-time recent experience
- Dairy Cattle Farm Operators: AQF Certificate II or III, or 1 year full-time recent experience
All roles need: passion for dairy farming, teamwork skills, knowledge of farming techniques, understanding of animal welfare, and ability to follow safety rules.
The work:
Dairy Farmers manage cattle, heifers, calves and equipment. You will supervise animal care, manage milk harvesting and quality, and meet production targets. Animal Husbandry Technicians help with breeding, vaccines, artificial insemination and health records. Senior Operators plan milk production, manage breeding programs and animal welfare. Operators run milking equipment, record data and assist with farm machinery.
Pay is $71,481 to $95,000 plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
