MADEC Australia is hiring up to 500 harvest workers for vegetable farms in the Bundaberg Region.

The work

• Picking fruit and vegetables
• Planting fruit and vegetables
• Packing fruit and vegetables
• Pruning and thinning trees
• General farm duties

Hours and pay

Minimum 30 hours a week, 6am to 4pm, though this may change with seasonal needs. You will be paid as a Level 1 Casual Employee under the Horticultural Award 2020. Hourly or piece rates may apply. You may have the chance to train and move up to higher pay levels.

What we need

You must be physically fit, agile and able to stand for long periods. You need good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions and concentrate. You must be available for shift work over a 7-day roster. If you are from outside the area, you must be able to move there for the duration of the job. Random drug and alcohol testing may be conducted.

When and how long

Work starts early January 2027 with multiple intakes up to mid-November 2027. The position is expected to last up to 9 months.
