• Sugar Research Australia (SRA) are looking for Casual Field Hands for up to 5 days per week for work from now through to November/December 2026 (depending on operational needs).
• – Planting sugarcane, frequently cutting cane using a cane knife, trimming, bundling, carrying and loading sugarcane stalks in the field.
• – Working, standing, and walking long distances in the field for long periods on uneven ground in cane fields.
• – Are able to perform physical, manual labour in very hot and humid conditions.
• – Are physically fit and can lift bundles of cane repeatedly over several hours (up to 20kg).
• – Are happy to pay attention to detail and can follow instructions and carry out work safely and accurately.
