## Grower, Wholesale Production Nursery

Southern Plants is a family-owned wholesale nursery in Dromana, Victoria, growing quality plants for over 75 years.

They’re after an experienced Grower with real expertise in chemical and pest management. You’ll report to the Growing Manager and help keep the nursery free of pests and disease, with all chemical programs applied and recorded to legislation and safety standards.

**What you’ll do:**

– Develop and run preventative and reactive spray plans
– Apply and manage herbicides, insecticides and growth materials
– Monitor for pests, disease and other threats
– Make sure stock meets spraying requirements for each state before dispatch
– Help keep Safety Data Sheets and chemical storage compliant
– Pitch in on watering, potting and moving stock
– Share knowledge with the wider growing team

**What you’ll need:**

– Horticulture, science or related qualifications (preferred)
– Nursery or horticultural experience
– Current Agricultural Chemical Users Permit (ACUP)
– Forklift licence, or willing to get one
– Good knowledge of pests, diseases and plant nutrition
– Strong grip on chemical handling, storage and compliance
