General Farm Hand

Southern Free Range is growing, and we need a general farm hand to join the team. We’re a large, well-established free-range poultry business with a purpose-built facility, producing around 6 million birds a year across three sites north of Adelaide.
This suits someone who likes variety, takes the initiative, and keeps standards high across the board. You’ll work directly with livestock, so you need to be reliable and hardworking.
Reporting to the Farm Manager, you’ll be responsible for:
– Hitting performance, quality, and welfare targets
– Meeting company standards and legal requirements
– Keeping the workplace safe
– Mortality runs
– Shed checks
– General farm hand duties
– Following strict biosecurity procedures
**What you’ll need**
– A current driver’s licence
– Able to work flexible hours
– Self-motivated with good time management
– Hands-on with a high standard of housekeeping
– A clear understanding of what working with livestock involves
– Full work rights in Australia
Due to quarantine rules, we can’t consider anyone who comes into contact with pigs or birds.
We rotate staff to keep a fair work/life balance, and everyone on the team is valued.
