About this job
We’re after a motivated, reliable full-time Station Hand to join our family-run cattle operation, about 80km north-east of Augathella, Queensland.
We run across five properties with an intensive breeding, fattening and finishing program producing 100% organic beef. This is a flexible, hands-on role that can grow around your skills and interests. We’re proud of our grazing and herd management practices, and we keep a high standard across the whole place.
**What the role includes:**
– Plenty of cattle work and mustering (horses, bikes and helicopter)
– Branding, drafting, weighing and weaner handling
– Fence, water and general property maintenance
– Machinery, motorbike and vehicle operation and maintenance
– Exposure to grazing, pasture and herd management
– A safe, supportive team
**What we’re after:**
– A positive attitude and strong work ethic
– Interest or experience in livestock handling or station work
– Skills in fencing, machinery, maintenance or stock work are highly regarded
– Willingness to learn, training provided for the right person
Livestock and basic station experience is preferred, but we’ll train the right person who wants to work hard. Referees required.
