Farm Hand
About this job
Backwater Pastoral Co. runs cattle and sheep near Narromine in Central NSW. They’re after a reliable farm hand to help with the day-to-day across the property. Full time, paying $30 to $40 an hour.
**What you’ll be doing**
– Looking after livestock: feeding, watering and keeping an eye on their health
– Operating and maintaining machinery and gear like tractors, harvesting equipment and fencing tools
– General farm maintenance: fence repairs, paddock clearing, facility upkeep
– Helping plant, cultivate, water and harvest crops
– Working safely and following the proper procedures
– Mucking in with the rest of the team
**What you’ll need**
– Previous farm or ag experience, with a good handle on livestock and crops
– Confident operating and maintaining farm machinery
– Good problem solver who can sort out issues as they come up
– An eye for detail. Happy working solo or in a team
– A safe work ethic and willingness to learn
– A valid driver’s licence, and able to get other relevant tickets
