About this job

Location: Mundoolun (Mt Tambouine) QLD
Position Type: Part-Time (Minimum 10 hours per week)
Compensation: Hourly pay + On-site housing provided

About Us
We are an exciting new farmstay business currently under construction! We are building a beautiful retreat for future guests to connect with nature, and we are looking for reliable, self-motivated individuals to join us during this foundational phase. If you love animals, enjoy being outdoors, and want to help shape a growing business, we would love to meet you.

The Role
As our Farmstay Assistant, your primary focus will be keeping our animals happy and healthy, and ensuring the property stays safe, tidy, and organized while construction is underway. Because we are in the build phase, everyday can look a little different, making this a great fit for someone adaptable and proactive.

Key Responsibilities
Animal Care: Feed, water, and monitor the health and well-being of our farm animals daily. Clean and maintain animal pens, coops, or paddocks.
Property Maintenance: General tidying, clearing debris from construction areas, mowing/weeding, and ensuring the grounds remain organized and safe.
Project Support: Assist with basic hands-on tasks around the property as needed to help prepare the farmstay for its grand opening.
What We Are Offering

Accommodations: Private on-site housing included (utilities discussed upon interview).
Guaranteed Hours: A minimum of 10 hours of work per week, with potential for more hours as the business grows and opens to the public.
Fair Pay: Hourly wages.
The Experience: A unique opportunity to live in a beautiful setting and be a core part of building a hospitality business from the ground up.

What We’re Looking For
Prior experience handling or caring for farm animals is highly preferred.
A strong work ethic and the ability to work independently without constant supervision.
Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy objects, walk on uneven terrain, and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
A positive, flexible attitude—essential for a property that is currently under development!
A valid driver’s license (and reliable transport) is a major plus.

How to Apply
If you are ready to roll up your sleeves and join our journey, please send a short introduction about yourself, your relevant experience, and why you think you’d be a great fit to admin@hopefarmstay.com.au or Brendon 0420748352

We are looking to fill this position as soon as possible.
